Neeti Mohan and Armaan Malik honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

MUMBAI: Singers Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan were honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award held in Mumbai.

Armaan, who won the award in the best playback singer category, expressed his happiness, “It’s amazing and feels good to win the prestigious honour. I had won it for the first time in 2016. To be able to win first at the age of 20 and now at 22, feels great. Also, the way in which the award is constituted by Dada Saheb Phalke’s grandson, in the respect, it is not only about the award but the man, who is known as the Father of Indian Cinema. Also, it’s always amazing to meet fellow singer and musicians at the event.”

Neeti, who also won the prestigious award for the best playback singer female said, "It is an auspicious occasion to receive the prestigious award. I am greatly humbled and honoured to receive this award. I couldn’t be more grateful to my family, friends, fraternity and the most important family of fans.”

The artists were honoured for their contribution to the music industry for the year 2017 and 2018. Dada Saheb Phalke Award is India's highest award in cinema, named after the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. This year also the award ceremony was attended by the who’s who of music and Bollywood industry.
