MUMBAI: Fashion designer and model Khushali Kumar is currently raving audience with her glamorous performance in Guru Randhawa’s latest single, Raat Kamaal Hai. Produced by her family’s label, T-Series, the song is sung by Guru Randhawa and her sister Tulsi Kumar. In an exclusive interview with Radioandmusic, Khushali talks about the song, working with Guru and her sister Tulsi Kumar.

When asked about the party number, Khushali said, “It is a very different, glamorous, adventurous romantic song I have never done before. We had great fun shooting it at different locations.”

Khushali’s chemistry with hit-machine, Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa is the current talk of the town. On her experience of working with him, Khushali shares, “It was very nice working with Guru, who is very motivating and sweet like his videos. We share a lot of similarities. In fact, we both like to get involved in every aspect of the making of the song and we did the same during Raat Kamaal Hai. We also worked on the look and feel of the song.”

Khushali, who has herself done her styling for the song, also gave suggestions to Guru on his outfits used in the song. “While I designed my clothes for the song, I also shared references with Guru so that we complemented each other in the song,” Khushali said. Well, now we understand the secret behind the glamour quotient of the duo in the song.

With this song, Khushali is once again collaborating with sister, Tulsi Kumar. Two have earlier worked on singles like Mainu Ishq Da Lagya Rog, Mere Papa, Ik Yaad Puraani and Mera Highway Star with Raftaar.

On collaborating with her sister, Khushali said, “Her voice totally compliments my onscreen personality. Even while recording the song, she keeps me in her mind and sings. Hence, people think that it’s me who is singing the song.”

 “She understands me in and out,” adds Khushali, who shares a strong bond with her sister.

Raat Kamaal Hai has crossed 12 million views on YouTube. Happy with the response, Khushali further said, “Everyone is appreciating our video and we are glad that we are getting a good response.”

Lastly, when asked if she would debut as a singer, Khushali joked, “Singing is my sister’s department. I love acting, dancing besides my fashion designing.”

The talented diva signed off not before sharing her upcoming projects. “My upcoming project is a soulful music video shot in Patiala. Right now, I can only reveal that the song is a recreated version and is also produced by T- Series. Besides, I’m also working on various other projects.”

Produced under Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series music label, Raat Kamaal Hai is a party number that is trending at #5 on YouTube with 16 million views in just 24 hours. Crooned by Guru Randhawa and Tulsi Kumar, the video showcases a steamy chemistry between Guru and Khushali Kumar, who looked ravishing in the video. The lyrics of the song are penned by Guru himself.
