Second edition of Gaana Crossblade set to enthrall Chandigarh

MUMBAI: Gaana Crossblade Punjabi Music Festival powered by Seagram’s Royal Stag Barrel Select Mega Music CDs is back again to spread some good old Punjabi flavour across the northern part of the country on 24-25 February for its 2018 Chandigarh edition. From the music to the decor and installations, food and games- the entire vibe of the festival will take you back to the Punjabi culture and music.

Pop music culture in India has been kept alive in a million ways by the prolific industry of Punjab. From bhangra songs to wedding numbers; from explicit raps to romantic tunes, this multi-faceted industry has given the entire nation a plethora of euphonic gems. From being an industry serving only to a niche audience, Punjabi music industry is now taking the entire world by storm and how! It is this flavour that Gaana Crossblade brings to the table for its attendees.

The festival promises to be larger than life experience, and rightly so as the audiences will witness breathtaking performances by the best in the industry. The attendees can try their Bhangra moves to the rhythms of the no.1 Punjabi music producer, Manj Musik and relive the folk vibe with India’s biggest music maestro- Amit Trivedi. Performing artistes also include Punjabi living legend Hans Raj Hans along with Navraj Hans and Yuvraj Hans, Sukhbir, Parmish Verma, Shirley Setia, Gurnazar, Sunanda Sharma, Jasmine Sandlas, B Praak and Jaani duo, Akhil Sachdeva, Delhi 2 Dublin and many more.

Gaana Crossblade, originally an eight editions old musical tour which has grown to become the only regional music festival in the country, aims to bring alive the spirit of Punjabi music and culture through a combination of music genres across two days each in the forthcoming editions in Chandigarh and Jaipur in17-18 March, with 40+ celebrity singers performing in the 2018 edition.

The festival has introduced a multi-stage showcase of performances. To further elevate the festive vibe, Gaana Crossblade has launched their custom-made stickers nation-wide on Snapchat along with interesting filters for the attendees.

Speed Records director Satvinder Singh Kohli adds, “Speed Records and EYP Creations have always tried to do something different. This is the second edition of Gaana Crossblade and this is definitely the largest and grandest one till now. This would not have been possible without all our performing artistes and partners. We have constantly been working hard for this festival. It is to not only a festival in Punjab, for Punjab by Punjab but also for lovers of music and its diversity across the globe”.
