Ssumier Pasricha records promo track for 'Pammi Aunty' web series

MUMBAI: Ever since Pammi Aunty posted her first video on 14 May 2016, she has been a social media sensation. This time Pammi Aunty has come up with a twist, along with her entertaining drama she has recorded a promo track for her web series. Ssumier Pasricha aka Pammi Aunty with Akhil Sachdeva recorded a track for a promo video for Pammi Aunty web series which will be aired on Ekta Kapoor’s online channel ALT Balaji.

Ssumier says, "Balaji first approached me and wanted a complete Pammi’s character in the promo. I was initially hesitant when I heard the concept as it has been a long time since I have sung. But luckily Akhil Sachdeva was at my house at that moment and he planned to help me out. The promo video will unveil Pammi's singing skills in the video as she has sung songs like Shape Of You previously which caught attention and she loves to sing devotional songs to which she thinks she is a good singer but honestly she isn’t."

The promo speaks about Pammi Aunty who has come to Mumbai with hidden agenda of becoming number one actress in the Bollywood industry. She also introduces other characters that she will portray in the web series in the promo video. The one-minute promo video is composed by Akhil Sachdeva, while the lyrics related to the character of ‘Pammi Aunty’ are inscribed by Ssumeir, who has also done the singing bit.

“I always wanted a chance to sing with Akhil Sachdeva but I never knew that I would end up singing with him for Pammi Aunty series. It was a wonderful experience working with him and he knows his work very well. During the shoot I was more like a student to him,” adds Ssumier.

Ssumeir is trained in Indian Classical music for almost 13 years and expresses his love for music as he listens to Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Spanish music and Carnatic music. As of now just one song for Pammi Aunty has been recorded but there are more song videos in the pipeline.

Akhil  Sachdeva unveils his experience, “I know Pammi’s character very well, the reason I felt connected and was done with this track in just a few minutes. This was a fun thing as well as I got connected to the concept really easily. I am a social musician and I make my own music, so composing for Pammi Aunty was not a big task.”
