MUMBAI: For some reasons the feeling of patriotism rises in our minds and hearts only once a year, on Independence Day. For many, it does not even last a day as they go on to disrespect the national flag soon after the flag hoisting ceremony. An act that’s repeated every year is of throwing the flags on the ground, roads, and almost everywhere.  

Any patriotic person wouldn’t like to see the respect of nation lying in some dirty corner of the city. But, Delhi was littered with flags this Independence Day. Rapper Raftaar couldn’t see this sight and took to social media to express his displeasure.

“Dont show how chauvinist you are this one day on Independence Day, people purchase flags from these kids to which they think that selling flags is much better than going to school which is not right. Please don’t buy from them and don’t throw it on the roads. I am not pointing out on anybody’s deshbhakti but please do not throw flags on the roads,” stated the rapper.

We just hope this message changes a few hearts!
