MUMBAI: Salim- Sulaiman, the musical duo is coming up with a patriotic song Mera Desh Hi Mera Dharam as a respectful tribute to the armed forces and the nation.

After a tweet about this song, radioandmusic.com spoke to Salim Merchant about his upcoming video.  

The singer- composer said he is a proud Indian and also has the word Indian written in capital in his twitter account. Patriotic by heart, Salim over the past five months wanted to do something for Independence day, as this would be the nation’s 70thIndependence day.

The upcoming song would be dedicated to the armed forces of India, and especially to the Indian Army. The song is penned by Sandeep Srivastava.

He added: ”They keep us safe & protect us, we sleep peacefully at night while they risk their lives for the country. We salute our Armed Forces on the occasion of India's 70th year of Independence, by dedicating a song in their honour.”

The song Mera Desh Hi Mera Dharam will be releasing on 15 August 2017.
