Daler Mehndi launches a digital chat program

MUMBAI: King of Pop Daler Mehndi recently launched digital chat program under his production company, DM Folk Studio in Delhi. The show hosts known faces from the music industry.

As per the format of the chat show, The Bolo Ta Ra Ra singer goes live from his personal Facebook profile. So, the revelations and discussion from DM Folk Studio are available live for true fans of music.

“This is one platform where we invite legendary artists to share their experience and notes for aspiring singers-musicians,” said the singer.

Mehendi’s studio has successfully managed to churn out three episodes and the fourth one is on its way. The first live session included Ahmed and Mohammed Hussain, brothers from Jaipur who sing classical ghazal. The next guest was India’s biggest Dhol player Ramju Bhai. The third session was graced by a band that jammed live from the studio.

“The chat program is getting us a lot of appreciation from the audience,” stated Mehndi.

When asked if he will pitch it to a television channel, the singer said, “This will only air on social media and it will be an ongoing series. We will bring an artist every 10-15 days.”

Mehndi’s upcoming project is a Telugu film featuring Junior NTR.
