Sonu Nigam's birthday marked with a pledge to plant more trees

NEW DELHI: Singers from various parts of the country paid their tribute to Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam at a musical evening over the weekend to mark his 44th birthday.

At the event organized by singer Sandeep Mishra and his band SK – The musical journey, a message was sent out for a greener environment.All present accepted the suggestion of the organizers to mark their respective birthdays with the planting of a tree.

Mishra said Nigam was like a Guru for him and it was a small tribute to the singer who had always supported him.

Several senior music personalities from Delhi were felicitated for their contribution to the world of Hindi music including Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studio, Ms Saroj Mishra, Warehouse Corporation of India Director Personal J S Kaushal, and Sangam Kala Group National President VSK Sood.

Sanjeev Puri who runs a movement for a better environment and Aaj ki Delhi director Yograj Sharma were the media partners and marked the day by presenting pots of green plants to the participants and award-winners.
