Pritam Da's team is most updated: Singer Amit Mishra

MUMBAI: Music composer Pritam is known to deliver hits in Bollywood and any name associated with him too becomes an instant hit. Well, singer Amit Mishra turns out to be fortunate the second time to work with the talented composer.

This time Mishra has worked with Pritam on the most talked song of the country 'Radio Song' from 'Tubelight'. The song has already crossed 14 million views and is currently playing on every radio station in the country.

Talking about the track Mishra said, "The song required a lot of energy but innocence and cuteness at the same time. So, the recording went pretty good. Moreover, lyricist Amit Bhattacharya is a great person to work with. I love singing his words. There are lines like 'Joota polish karwale' in the song and we have joked while recording it."

Furthermore, the singer revealed that he enjoys recording with Pritam as one gets the best recording equipment at his studio. "Pritam Da's team is the most updated team," stated the 'Bulleya' hitmaker who has worked with some of the under-equipped studios during his initial days.

"Initially, I use to not get luxuries studios. There were times when I would carry my own headphones at the studio because they wouldn't have one in working condition. This was the case nine years ago. Things have changed today. The production value is different now," added 'Manma Emotion Jaage' singer.

Mishra has worked with some of the best music composers and given hits to the Bollywood industry but he does not have a list of composers that he wants to work with. He takes work as it comes his way. "Every song is a project for me. When you get a song you understand the vision of the music composer, the director and then rehearse it. There are also times when one has to google the words to understand them better," averred the singer.

The singer further revealed that he takes a lot of time to record a song, unlike some singers. "Sonu Nigam takes just 30 minutes to an hour to record a song and that's like having a bullet brain. I, on the contrary, take a lot of time."

He further added, "Every song is different and it needs to be worked on. I personally like working hard on every song because the end result makes me happy."

In fact, being in a studio makes Mishra happy. Initially, he preferred being more in a recording studio than at live events but now he has learnt to balance it all. "The live sessions make one more powerful as a singer. But, I still love the studio," ended he.
