My debut album is going to be different sonically and lyrically: Badshah

MUMBAI: Rap star Badshah, who has been creating quite a buzz among his fans with his brand new song 'Mercy' and also known for his swag when it comes to rap in Bollywood, said that his upcoming album ‘O.N.E’ will be totally different from what he does mostly.

Not only for rapping, the notorious rapper is also celebrated as the man who adds spunk to popular remixes in mainstream Bollywood movies. In an exclusive discussion with Radioandmusic.com, the self-acclaimed introvert composer-rapper said, “Ever since I have made ‘DJ Waley Babu’, I did not get the chance to make my own stuff. My debut album is going to be different sonically and lyrically. There will be something you have never heard before; it will be something I have never done before. Also, there will be hardly any party songs.”

“O.N.E will feature six to eight songs. There will be songs, which are poignant; also, there might be collaborations. As I am inclined to every kind of folk music, there will be a different take on folk as well. The second single is scheduled for mid-year release while the entire album will release by year-end,” added he.

Released by Sony Music, ‘Mercy’ is the first single from his forthcoming album ‘O.N.E’.
