Arijit Singh's decision to stay off work gave 'Rog Jaane', Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

MUMBAI: 'Rog Jaane' from 'Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana' is undoubtedly a Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Palak Muchhal track, but did you know that it was offered to Arijit Singh? Well, the makers of the film wanted to stay off the India-Pak artiste ban issue hence, they decided on chalking Khan out of the track.

However, the music composer of the track Vipin Patwa wanted none other than Khan to sing the track for him and he continued to stay adamant. But, there was a point when he had to approach another singer – Arijit Singh – on the insistence of his production house.

Patwa did connect with Arijit Singh as they had worked together on ‘Bollywood Diaries’ earlier, but the singer declined the offer as he was on break from work. “After that, I did not approach anyone,” confessed the composer.

He turned back to his producers and requested them to retain Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice. Everyone finally agreed and the song as you see is doing extremely well.
