To be able to achieve this feat at 21 feels surreal: Armaan Malik on ranking at Wembley's top 10

MUMBAI: Singers Armaan Malik and Arijit Singh don’t really need an introduction anymore. The talented singers made it to the top 10 at SSE Live Awards.

While the youngest of the lot, Armaan is at the fourth position, Arijit Singh got the seventh position for the best live act in the world category.

Notable is that Arijit has performed in Wembley twice while Armaan’s debut act at the venue as part of his international tour during September 2016. Armaan debuted at SSE Arena, London on 24 September 2016, followed by a couple of shows in UK and US as a part of his world tour ‘Armaan Malik Live’.

“It feels great that Indians are finally taking the music of our country globally to reach out to a wider audience. To be able to achieve this feat at 21 feels surreal. Sometimes I do pinch myself to ask me whether it is true, but yes it is true and HOW,” stated Armaan elatedly.

Continuing with that, Armaan added, “Many people may not know but I've worked hard since the age of nine to make all these dreams of mine come true. I sang my first song when I was 11 and I did my first solo world tour when I was 21. This journey has been a 10-Year journey. Many might not take a child's journey seriously, but I want to change the mindset of people and make them believe that young people in our country can achieve great things.”

Both the singers did make India proud by making it to the top 10 at SSE Live Awards. SSE Live Awards is the annual event in the UK, which celebrates live performers. Also, this is the first time; the annual awards were open to public voting. In that addition, Indian stand-up comic Kapil Sharma also made it to the top ten, positioned at number nine at SSE Live Awards.
