Baleno Wicked Weekends featuring Rapper Brodha V to hit Bengaluru

MUMBAI: An intellectual property of Zee Live, Baleno Wicked Weekends will travel to Bengaluru on 25 February 2017 with rapper Brodha V as a multi-city nightlife campaign.

The gig featuring Brodha V will be held at Glocal Junction, Bengaluru.

Known as one of the finest English rappers in India, Brodha V aka Vignesh Shivanand came to public attention as a part of the hip-hop crew MWA (Machas with Attitude) in 2008. Having been a part of nearly 40 films, including Bollywood projects, and winning competitions around India, 26-year-old Brodha V’s penchant for using Indian sounds and classical music samples in his songs (award-winning ‘Indian Flava’ and hip-hop infused version of ‘Ayigiri Nandini’) and personal lyrics has garnered him a large fan base.

He has sung for Bollywood films like ‘Mujhse Fraandship Karoge’ and ‘Chennai Express’ and collaborated with singers like Benny Dayal, like in the 2016-track, ‘Round Round’ and with composer Anirudh Ravichander of ‘Why this Kolaveridi’ fame on ‘Shake That’ in the past.

Described as India’s longest party marathon, Baleno Wicked Weekends has featured indie acts like Raghu Dixit, Parekh and Singh, Junkyard Groove, and bass music producers like Sound Avtar and Mojo Jojo among others, and hope to become the one-stop nightlife guide for artists and audience alike. In last December, Baleno Wicked Weekends made its debut in Bengaluru with a show headlined by folk-rock star Raghu Dixit.

In collaborating with Maruti Suzuki NEXA and Zee Live, Baleno Wicked Weekends has put up13 shows so far and looks to feature some of the most exciting independent music talent from India.
