Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to compose a song for Indian Navy

MUMBAI: Music-director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy add another feather in their cap. The ace musicians recently associated with the Indian Navy, to compose a theme song.

As, India acquired its first submarine in 1967 which was 50 years ago, to commemorate this momentous occasion, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were given the honour to compose a song celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Submarine Arm of the Indian Navy.

The song composed by SEL is a tribute to the past and present submariners of the Indian Navy. The song will also be a source of inspiration for future generations. They have celebrated the fallen heroes of the Kargil war were through song in Drass, during the 13th anniversary of India's victory in Kargil.

Talking about it, Ehsaan stated, “We have immense respect for armed forces; we have also performed at Kargil for Indian Army. We are always there to support any project they want us to work with them, whether it means composing a song or performing for them.”

“When we were approached to compose the song for the 50th Anniversary of the Submarine Arm of the Indian Navy, we were extremely thrilled and happy do it. We hope we do more of this,” added he.

The song is also being converted to a marching tune by the Naval Band and will be played at parades and ceremonial occasions in India, also in abroad on board IN Ships/Submarines.
