Supersonic left Prydz teary-eyed

MUMBAI: It would not be an exaggeration, to say Eric Prydz created history at Vh1 Supersonic’s fourth edition in Pune on 10 February 2016, but what will be remembered forever are his tears of joy. The performer could not hold back his tears at Vh1 Supersonic after party at blueGROG, Pune.

On 10 February, Pune marked an affecting moment for all music superfans. Vh1 Supersonic managed the challenge by flying down the aviophobia, legendary artist Eric Prydz to headline its first day with his sensational performance.

The most talked about headlining act at Supersonic was Eric Prydz. People who do not know, it was Eric’s debut tour in India, also the first visit to any Asian country. Mr. Prydz brought down the house in India and it goes without saying.

Prydz mesmerised the fans as he struck a chord with them by concluding the first day of Vh1 Supersonic with his superset. The night became an unforgettable one from the minute Prydz dropped ‘Century of the Mouse’. The party just didn’t end there with closing track ‘Opus’. Supported by two amazing underground artists from India, Pearl and Praveen Achary, Eric also played at the first of several after-parties at blueFROG, Pune as Cirez D, which is Eric Prydz's darker Techno moniker.

As an audience, you only win over an artist when he goes out of his way and plays an extraordinary final track. What magic! What a banging set! Prydz, with some striking progressive tunes, followed by the darkest and best Cirez D set, he showed his depths of his music. There was a connect and the audience responded to Prydz in a way that touched his heart. This was the moment when everyone in the audience saw him shedding tears of joy and happiness. We bow down to you Prydz.
