MUMBAI: Music maestro AR Rahman has not only created music, he has created moments in Indian cinema and left a mark on world music that will be cherished forever and this is something that got him an offer to set up base in Canada. You heard it right, the Mayor of Toronto invited the ‘Jai Ho’ hitmaker to Canada.

The singer-music composer, who recently collaborated with Canadian company Ideal Entertainment to produce three of his films, ‘Le Musk’, ’99 songs’ and ‘One heart- The A.R Rahman Concert Film’ was offered to set up base in Canada.

The news went viral soon after Rahman posted a picture of himself with the mayor, John Troy on his social media accounts. In his post, the legend humbly offered to develop interesting artistic tie-ups between the two nations and also said, “I’m indeed very touched and moved by your gesture.”

Rahman has no plans of shifting base anywhere from Tamil Nadu where his family and friends are but he invited the mayor to visit his conservatory if he finds himself in India sometime.
