MUMBAI: The promo video of Star Plus' 'Dil Hai Hindustani' is out. The video features judges Karan Johar, Shalmali Kholgade, Shekar Ravjiani and Badshah.

The video depicts the core theme of 'Dil Hai Hindustani' - about acquiring talent across the globe - who can sing Indian Bollywood songs. The video has sounds of Indian music and Bollywood songs in a 'foreign' tone.

The judges apparently found new talent at the airport and while boarding a flight - fertile grounds to spot foreigners, one would imagine. One moment that was found interesting is at the check point as Shekhar has worn a jacket with stars on the right corner, the lady checking him out sings 'Badan Pe Sitaare’ - a 1960s hit film song. Makes one wonder if women do that, ordinarily, in our country.

Though the theme of the show has been clearly explained, the concept could have been spelt out better. 'Dil Hai Hindustani' is the first musical show with a different concept, and the promo could have done better, we feel.
