Interestingly this version also feature popular Indian YouTuber Rohit Bharati enacting the role of Pablo Escobar in the latter’s typical avatar. Joining Bharati in the music video is the composer Mahesh Raghavan himself in the role of Javier Pena, an American Narco cop.

The two artists have ‘desified’ the original track titled ‘Tuyo’, composed by Rodrigo Amarante, with the flawless incorporation of sitar, tabla, santoor and Hindi lyrics. Here’s a few lines from the Raghavan-Bharati rendition of ‘Tuyo’ -

Pahucho Aisi Duniya Mein

Jo Lage Tumhari Ho

Neend ko Vida Karo

Aur raaton mein.. Din Bharo

Mahesh Raghavan isn’t new to the idea of Indianising western series or popular songs in the ways he knows best. Previously, the musician created a similar effort for Game of Thrones, British songwriter Adele’s chartbuster ‘Hello’, Drake’s hit track ‘Hotline Bling’ and the theme of Johnny Depp starrer ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
