Badshah and Tanishk to recreate 'Humma Humma'

MUMBAI: Rap king of Bollywood, Badshah and promising music composer Tanishk Bagchi are all set to recreate the magic of ‘Humma Humma’.

They are together working on recreating the ‘Humma Humma’ magic for the film ‘OK Jaanu’, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.

The original version of ‘Hamma Hamma’ is from Mani Ratnam’s 1995 film ‘Bombay’. ‘OK Jaanu’ is directed by Shaad Ali, produced by Karan Johar and Mani Ratnam under their banners Dharma Productions and Madras Talkies respectively.

Confirming the reports Badshah said, “I am extremely excited and yet nervous as working on an iconic AR. Rahman song and that too ‘Humma Humma’ is a huge responsibility. I promise you that the song will be awesome and I really hope music fans will shower their love on the song.”

Tanishk Bagchi and Badshah have conceptualised and produced the track with the latter rapping in it. In addition, the original lyrics have been retained; Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati have lent their voices for the new and peppier version of ‘Humma Humma’.

The soundtrack and film score are composed by AR. Rahman where he re-used most of his compositions, with the exception of three songs. We are yet to hear on who has worked on the choreography and the singers that are voices on the track.
