MUMBAI: Senior citizen Rahim Kasmani from Mumbai gets to meet comedy king Kapil Sharma, just because of ‘KaanPhaad’ fame RJ Abhilash Thapliyal from Red FM Mumbai.

61-year-old Rahim Kasmani who had a dream to meet the comedy king Kapil Sharma, let a man stay at his place for over three months without even knowing him. The man claimed to know Kapil, and Rahim went out of his way, even booked a car that Kapil endorses to win a chance to meet the funnyman Sharma.

But it was not until he called well-known RJ Abhilash on his show ‘KaanPhaad’ that could he predict a genuine opportunity of meeting his favourite star. Touched by his innocence, Abhilash asked Mumbai to come together and help him connect Rahim with Kapil Sharma. Calls and contacts poured in, including that of Preeti Simoes, the creative director of The Kapil Sharma Show.

While talking about it, Abhilash stated, “Preeti was ecstatic to hear the story of this Jabra fan and invited us to be part of their next shoot of The Kapil Sharma Show. We went to the set last Wednesday and in a heart to heart conversation, it was a teary-eyed moment for everyone at the comic set.”

While talking about it, the 61-year old said, “I broke down when Kapil hugged me and shared his number with me. A moment that I will never forget. For me, Santa came as Abhilash this year, albeit a little early.”
