Social celebrates one-year completion with Bass Camp Festival

MUMBAI: Khar Social turns one and it will be celebrating the same in a grand fashion this weekend (12 November 2016).

The club will be filled with balloons, party hats and an awesome line-up courtesy Krunk’s Bass Camp Festival that’s happening at the venue. The festival will have two arenas at the same venue.

Here is the line-up –

Khar Social Line-Up: Swindle | Spryk | Paper Queen | Niki

Swindle- Swindle is a multi instrumentalist, producer and DJ from London. He has self released his music as far back as 2006, and featured in many projects between then and his debut album that came via Mala’s Deep Medi in 2013.

Spryk- Spryk is a genre-hopping force of sounds that bends conventions with swift production. Growing up in Mumbai before flourishing in Australia, Spryk has a cross continental range of influences that have helped shape his music.

Paper Queen- A unique blend of Old & Nu Skool Hip Hop, Trap & Future Bass to the cooler side of EDM, a signature Paper Queen DJ set has the right selection of music to receive mass appeal yet retain a certain street credibility.

Niki- Born and brought up in Bombay, the 24 year old music enthusiast figured out her affinity for electronic music during her college years. Music being a significant part of her experience eventually led to channelizing her love and interest in the form of techno and bass jackin’ house.

antiSOCIAL Line-Up: EPROM | B.R.E.E.D | Kumail | Midland Sparks

EPROM- EPROM is known for his diverse, funky and energetic sets, which cross the lines between live remixing and manipulation of hip-hop and dubstep with his own obscenely bass-heavy neurocrunk transmissions. EPROM has played alongside artists like Flying Lotus, The Glitch Mob, Skream, Lazer Sword, Kode9, Mochipet.

B.R.E.E.D- B.R.E.E.D is an avant-garde music duo based out of Los Angeles. Pioneering their beauteous sound and fusing high fashion art with their unique animal mask branding, they are gaining more and more recognition with an ever-increasing international fan base.

Kumail- He is a young music producer, who has been experimenting with music that can only be classified under the ambiguous label of “electronic music”. His music boldly pushes the level of experimentation of the current “scene” beyond its club-friendly confines, exploring the more ethereal regions of sound. Heavily manipulated live recordings coupled with atmospheric synths and meticulously panned rhythm sections form the fundamental characteristics of his music.

Midland Sparks- Midland Sparks is an Indian musical outfit headed by Maitreya Rajurkar (One half of TripShot Crew, Pune city's pioneering bass music duo), conceived to showcase the freshest sounds of modern electronica.

The venue will also offer some good deals on its one year completion. There will be a bunch of goodies, special cocktails and Ek Pe Ek (Buy1 Get 1) on select drinks for the night. Skaters gonna skate while graffiti artists will showcase their skills.
