Life Republic Hinjewadi becomes NH7 Weekender Pune's new home

MUMBAI: The speculations and rumours are over. India’s biggest music festival - Bacardi NH7 Weekender - announced today that the Pune edition will be held at Life Republic in Hinjewadi. Located in Marunji, the "happiest music festival" will move out of its last year venue - Magarpatta's Laxmi Lawns.

Life Republic becomes the city’s fourth venue since inception, after Koregaon Park (2010), Amonara Park (2012) and Laxmi Lawns (2011, 2013-15). The festival made the announcement through social media account with a video providing an aerial view of the massive venue that would soon host Steve Wilson, Farhan Live, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Nucleya.

Last year, OML Founder Vijay Nair had announced that the 2015 edition would be the last Weekender at Laxmi Lawns, however, the details regarding the new venue were kept under wraps. Life Republic is township based in Hinjewadi spread across 400 acres boasts a green landscape of an impressive size and the festival organisers would soon follow up with the shuttle service details.

To be held from 2 December, the Pune edition would be the concluding gig of the 2016 Weekender that began in Shillong over a month ago, before heading to second main city Hyderabad. The festival traveled to newer cities and venues, and similar to every year, would bid its fans adieu at a new venue in Pune.
