Pressure and frustration led to Jameer Kharkongar's elimination from 'The Stage 2'

MUMBAI: I'm a super-duper over-analyzer. You mix that with self-doubt and pressure, and that's never healthy – a quote from hip-hop artiste J. Cole describes the reason of Jameer Kharkongar's elimination from Colors Infinity's 'The Stage'.

Kharkongor couldn’t handle the pressure that suddenly got too much to handle with him making it to Top 10. “Initially I was taking it all lightly and then the pressure started building up,” says the singer who believes that a part of it came from the panel of judges who expected more from him.

Given Kharkongar's nature, he couldn’t balance both, music and the pressure of excelling on the show, marking his elimination on 6 October 2016. “For me staying in a place for too long too gets frustrating and that all snowballed into my elimination from the show.”

The singer-guitarist likes being a free-bird. He likes making his music the most – something that awaits takers. The artiste moved from Shillong to Pune in hope of expanding his wings as a musician and he wants to live that dream. “Things got stagnant back home after a while and that is when I moved to Pune. I love to compose and wish to get through ads and Bollywood.”

For the ones wanting to explore Kharkogor’s music, it’s available on his YouTube channel - Jameer Kharkongor.

The singer who is trained in western classical, rock & pop and guitar is a music teacher by profession. He teaches in schools and wishes to own a music school someday.

We wish you all the luck Kharkongor.
