BandCamp Season 3 collaborates with Tuning Fork this weekend

MUMBAI: Creative initiative BandCamp and live music venue Tuning Fork will be curating one exclusive gig in this upcoming weekend. As this year's BandCamp Season 3 approaches to close the eyes to the city hustle, music enthusiasts can experience great live music by the coastline of Arabian Sea on 5 and 6 November 2016.

A White Collar Hippie creation, BandCamp started its journey in 2014 (Season 1). BandCamp is a weekly musical and movie nights initiative to make you reconnect with music or cinema out in a beautiful camping environment. This year it's BandCamp’s third year and every Saturday there will be a musical extravaganza along with different indie, blues or retro bands/artists throughout the hours of darkness.

While Tuning Fork is gearing up for BandCamping, talking about it, While Collar Hippie founder and director Vikrant Chheda shared, “We are organising this every month till March-April. Every Friday and Saturday, there will be movie and musical nights under the stars. This is the first time, Tuning Fork is associated with us to curate intimate music nights with different types of independent artists. In near future, there will be a couple of other collaborations too. As we don’t want it to be a massive affair, there will be limited accommodation.”

He added the artists Tejas Menon, Mali and Short Round will be performing on 5 November. “The music will be completely different and the artists can play whatever they love. The whole idea is to share good vibes only where artists can also meet and share their ideas, jam and just have chill sessions with the fellow members of the campsite,” added Vikrant.

BandCamp is located off Gorai beach, a stone’s throw away from the city. There will be tents, sleeping bags and camping goodies. It starts on 5 November at 4 pm and ends next day 6 November at 12 pm. The venue is U-Tan Sea Resorts, Mumbai. Tickets are available on Insider.
