Out of The Voice Kids, but Riya and Shrishti enjoy new found fame

MUMBAI: Riya Biswas of Team Shekhar and Shrishti Chakraborty of Team Shaan got eliminated from &TV's 'The Voice India Kids'. The girls gave their best, but with the competition getting fiercer, they succumbed to the axe of elimination.

The exit came as a shock to the youngsters, but the girls are returning with experience and fame. “It has been an excellent journey and I have learnt so much from all the mentors and the coaches on the show. I made so many new friends on the show who are now like family to me. I was really sad when I got to know that I have to leave the show. I feel extremely privileged and I would really like to thank &TV for giving me such an amazing platform. I am going to miss everything about the show,” says Riya who is currently at her aunt's place in Gujarat being recognised by the locals as ‘The Voice’ kid.

On her ‘The Voice India Kids’ experience, Shrishti says, “I have learnt so much from the show right from the blind auditions till the live rounds. During the blind auditions, I wanted to join Shaan sir’s team and luckily he pressed the buzzer for me and I was really happy that day. The show has ended for me but my journey has just begun and I am really happy that I was a part of ‘The Voice Kids’.”

Like Riya, Shrishti too is being recognised by people. Sharing her experience, the young singer avers, “While I was travelling back to my hometown, a lady in the train came up to my mother and asked her that she has seen me on 'The Voice India Kids' and I was really surprised that people actually know me. Later, while getting off at the station, she clicked a picture with me too. It feels really nice that people know us now.”

Lastly, while Riya is now focusing on studies, Shrishti is looking forward to grabbing every music opportunity that comes her way.
