Gulzar avoids Pak issue; Vishal Bhardwaj talks music at Motu Patlu music launch

MUMBAI: Lyricist-writer Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj attended the music launch of animated film 'Motu Patlu: King of Kings' here today. During which the media present at the do took the liberty to ask a few questions related the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. However, this did not go well with Gulzar.

He said, "Is this (question) relevant to the programme for which we have come? Aap agar shaadi mein jaao, aur baat Frontier ki karne lage, theek lagega? (If you go to a wedding and talk about the Frontier, will it look nice?)... Be relevant to the occasion."

On the other hand talking about composing the music for the film, Vishal Bhardwaj said, “I had a great time composing the enthralling track for 'Motu Patlu King of Kings'. Music has been created keeping in mind the limitless potential offered by the kids' music genre. The music and lyrics of the song have been seamlessly integrated keeping in mind children’s choice of music and the overall theme of the film.

The song of the movie 'Motu Patlu - King of Kings’ thus is a great celebration of the innocence of childhood and pure wonder for the world."

Commenting on the music launch Maya Digital Studios chairman & managing director Ketan Mehta said "Gulzar Saab and Vishal have together have created magic with the music of Motu Patlu.

The simplicity and engaging quality of their rendition is a master stroke and is sure to have kids falling in love with Motu Patlu all over again."
