Amaal composes 'Koi Ishara' for Force 2, may craft background score too

MUMBAI: Amaal Mallik, the youngest music composer in the industry who is making waves with his music as well as his acerbic comments on the workings of the music scene, has another ace up his sleeve. After composing for 'Baar Baar Dekho', and 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story', Amaal has composed a song 'Koi Ishara' for the upcoming film Force 2 starring Sonakshi Sinha and John Abraham.

Speaking about it in a candid conversation with Radioandmusic.com, Amaal said, "I have a couple of projects and movies in my hand now. I am doing Noor, directed by Sunhil Sippy and Badrinath Ki Dulhania by Shashank Khaitan, which will be releasing next year. In between, I am doing Force 2, which will release mid-November. I have composed one song for Force 2 and I know if I work hard, I might compose the background score (smiles)."

'Force 2' is Amaal's first film with Vipul Shah and this is exciting for the young composer since Amaal's father Daboo Malik and Vipul Shah have been friends since college.

While talking about the music of the film, the 'Kar Gayi Chull' composer said, "It's got a deep romantic ballad featuring Sonakshi and John. It has a European vibe to it as well. I have used instruments like Nylon guitars, Mandolins, Bouzoukis, Flutes with undertones of lounge, ambient rhythms along with Gregorian chants. Penned by Rashmi Virag, the song 'Koi Ishara' is love in its purest form," he signs off.

Amaal says he loves what he is doing currently and success seems to be loving him as well. Amaal's first solo album for 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' has been a ground-breaking success and it is amazing that in just two years, Amaal has got a string of hits like ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, 'Sooraj Dooba Hain', ‘Salamat’, 'Bol Do Na Zara', 'Sab Tera', 'Sau Aasmaan', 'Kar Gayi Chull', 'Buddhu Sa Mann' and so on.
