Mika, Shaan, Himesh exit; Sunidhi to continue as coach on 'The Voice India 2'

MUMBAI: Endemol's singing reality show 'The Voice India' will soon hit television screens with its second season.

The participants of the first season were coached by Bollywood singers Himesh Reshammiya, Mika Singh, Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan.

According to our sources, this year, the previous coaches- Shaan, Mika and Himesh will not be a part of the show. Instead, if sources are to be believed, music directors Vishal Dadlani and Salim Merchant will mentor the participants.

Also, a little bird tells us that Sunidhi will definitely be one of the coaches, making her the only coach from the previous season as a mentor.

Although, there were rumours that due to a fee hike Sunidhi might not join 'The Voice India Season 2', it now seems the production team and the singer have settled the matter for the best.

Shaan, who is currently mentoring 'The Voice India Kids' along with Shekhar Ravjiani and Neeti Mohan, was reportedly leaving the show mid way but channel hasn't confirmed anything yet. Hence, as Shaan is already a part of the kids' version of 'The Voice', viewers will not see him on 'The Voice India Season 2'.

The online auditions are currently on and the on grounds silent auditions will start from next month. Mumbai, Jaipur, Guwahati, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Patna, Indore, Nagpur, Ahmadabad and Delhi will have the auditions.
