Maati Baani to collaborate with YouTube Cappella singer Alaa Wardi

MUMBAI: Kartik and Nirali's world music band ‘Maati Baani’ is upping the ante with their unique brand of sound.

Nirali told Radioandmusic.com, “We are teaming up with popular YouTube Cappella singer Alaa Wardi for our next song. He is a global online YouTube sensation. The upcoming song is a wedding song and I will be featuring in the video as a cameo singer. Alaa Wardi has this outstanding ability to create sound out of any instrumental arrangement and we are thrilled to work with him.”

“The song will be out on 26 September 2016, and there will a few additional surprises too,” smiles Nirali.

Talking about their recent tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson, she said, “Jackson is one artist that has touched millions of hearts through his music. We wanted to create something diverse; hence the child prodigies across the world come together to Heal The World.”

Alaa Wardi is a Riyadh-based Cappella artist, who became an online YouTube sensation in during 2013 after sharing his first Hindi a Cappella on YouTube. He is also a part of a band ‘Hayajan’ which is an Arabic alternative rock band (formed in 2011). The band ‘Hayajan’ includes five members, Alaa Wardi on vocals, keyboard, and acoustic guitar, Odai Shawagfeh and Mohammed Idrei on electric guitar, Amjad Shahrour on bass guitar and Hakam Abu Soud on drums. ‘Hayajan’ is famous as the Arabic Coldplay.
