Forget Bhai, P-Man's Dharam moves steal the show this EID

MUMBAI: To spend Rs. 1100 on a recliner couch to watch Salman Khan try and act in yet another logically flawed movie does sound like a brilliant idea for ones with extremely poor sense and definition of entertainment. So, what alternative does this universe provide for an intelligent person craving for an alternative to thank for, this EID?

Enter - Rohit Pereira a.k.a. P-Man a.k.a. the-man-with-some-serious-Dharmendra-moves.

Mumbai-based electronica/hip-hop act ViceVersa released the music video for the single ‘Chal Hatt’ on July 6. With Pereira on bass and vocals, the act also comprises of Manas Ullas and Sidd Coutto. Apeksha Dandekar – of the ‘Beparwah’ fame – joined the trio with vocal contributions. The singer also appears in the music video, shot at Mumbai’s antiSocial, with Pereira and Ullas in a dance-off with another group.

“Our producer suggested Apeksha for this composition. ‘Chal Hatt’ is a very street and common phrase that everyone in Mumbai usually uses. On the broader sense, ‘Chal Hatt’ suggests doing your own thing and not giving a damn.”

Co-written by Pereira, the video comprises of the dancers from Freak N Stylz crew India, battling out with the trio through the display of some serious B-boying and hip-hop moves. The video concludes with Pereira and Ullas ‘not giving a damn’ where the former even owns the stage with classic Dharmendra moves.

Directed by Jishnu Guha, the video featured on 6 July and would continue to find several repeats on July 7 and July 8. ‘Chal Hatt’ becomes the act’s third music video featuring other artists after ‘Get Rowdy ft. Mr. Doss’ and ‘Lose Control ft. Jonita Gandhi’.

The month of July takes the band to Bengaluru and Pune on July 22 and 27 respectively.
