World Music Day across six cities: Who's performing where

MUMBAI: The annual global event celebrating world music continues in India on 19 June, this year, with eleven headlining acts across genres joining the effort for what has successfully turned out to be a world-wide tradition.

This year joining the league of reputed acts representing the ‘World Music Day’ would be contemporary folk-rock legends Indian Ocean, Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi, playback singer Benny Dayal, indie-pop band Euphoria and several others.

All the performances will be held at the Hard Rock Cafes across the country.

Indi.com becomes the new association with ‘ArtistAloud.com’, who have been hosting ‘World Music Day’ for past few years, along with venue support from Hard Rock India franchise. The organization is the title sponsor for the event pan India. “We are running challenges to enable talented artists, hosts, and fans alike with exciting rewards and prizes. The prizes range from cash to performing on stage and meeting the artists behind stage,” said Shikha Uberoi, co-founder of Indi.com.

The challenges include - “Indi Singing Sensation Challenge”, “The Host Challenge” & “You Know You Rock Hard Challenge”. The winners of the respective challenges receive an opportunitu to perform on the stage of the cities they represent.
