Mika Singh sues Colors channel?

MUMBAI: Just a week ago, there were reports about a conflict building up between Mika Singh (who is seen on 'Comedy Nights Live' in a similar role to that of Navjot Singh Sidhu in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show') and Colors around his recent visit to Sony Entertainment Channels’ family entertainment weekly program ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Since both Colors and Sony have turned competitors with Kapil shifting his loyalties to Sony post his dispute with the former channel, the issue had further escalated to the 'Gandi Baat' singer being asked to leave the Colors show.

In his recent interview to TOI, the ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ singer was quoted on having accepted the channel's decision. He said : "I am not hurt or disappointed with their decision. No artist is bigger than the channel and my absence will not cost them much. I know that the channel is upset and I hope things get resolved soon. But I can only say that it wasn't intentional."

It seemed like the dust would settle over a period of time, but that does not seem to be the case now. It is just going to get murkier. If our source is to be believed, the playback singer has sued the channel.

“He finds Colors decision of letting him go mid-way unreasonable. Moreover, he is unhappy that Colors CEO Raj Nayak did not do much in spite of being a dear friend,” stated the source.

Singh has shot for 15 episodes out of 26 episodes that he was signed for.

We tried contacting Mika but he remained unavailable for comment.
