Eminem sells bricks of his childhood home

MUMBAI: Rapper Eminem is selling pieces of bricks and wood of his childhood home as he celebrates the 16th anniversary of his hit album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’.

Pieces of bricks and wood from 'When I'm Gone' singer now-demolished Detroit house are being offered on his official website along with packages including a cassette re-release of the 2000 album with a 3-D motion-printed cover, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Each of the bricks, 700 pieces in total, comes with a special case with a commemorative plaque on the side. The wood, meanwhile, has been turned into dog tags placed in boxes modelled after the house at 19964 Dresden St.

The bricks and wood were recovered when the building was demolished in 2013 after being found structurally unsound. A portion of money made from the sales will go to the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which provides funds for organisations working with at-risk youth.
