RJ Pritam receives Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award

MUMBAI: RJ Pritam, currently seen as a host on Colors' BCL (Box Cricket League) received the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award under the 'Best Entertainer Of The Year' category.

The RJ, who has been entertaining Indian audiences for more than a decade now as an RJ and now a TV personality was elated to have received the award. In fact, it came as a surprise to him. "When I received a call from their team, I was taken by surprise. The realisation is yet to sink in," said Pritam.

The award was given after considering his contribution to both the radio and TV industries. "Some people feel that I have received this award too early, but they do not know about the years I have put in radio," pointed out the 'Bigg Boss -8' contestant.

Pritam believes in the ideology of working hard with or without appreciation. "I have always put my best into my work. But, it is people's love that has kept me going. I just hope they continue loving me the way they have," ended the RJ.

Pritam was earlier with Radio Mirchi Nagpur and he is currently with Red FM. He hosts the ‘Gyarah Se Doh Bhabhi Ka Show’. He will next be seen in the Sunny Leone starrer 'Yaaron Ki Baarat.'
