Divya Kumar sings title track of Sony's 'The Kapil Sharma Show'

MUMBAI: Bollywood music composers and singers don't shy away from working on a television show anymore. Some well-known voices from the film music industry have been dabbling successfully in tellyland.

Radioandmusic.com had carried a story on Jeet Ganguly working on an album for Life OK's 'Nagarjun: Ek Yoddha' in the day today, and now we get you another name. The next Bollywood artiste to take up a TV project is Divya Kumar, who has sung the title track of the much-awaited TV show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' that begins airing on Sony from tonight.

"I am a big fan of Kapil Sharma. Hence, when I got to know about the project I gave it a nod," confirmed the 'G Phaad Ke' singer.

"The track is a quirky one and talks about the issues that a common man faces every day. At the end of the song, there is an assurance for the audience that their otherwise mundane day will turn funnier with this show," said the 'Raita Phail Gaya' singer.

The project came to Kumar through music-composers Rohan-Vinayak.  The 'Jee Karda' singer has worked with them on various ad projects. "We've worked together earlier hence when they got 'The Kapil Sharma Show' they felt that my voice would fit it right," revealed the singer.

Kumar is currently on the jury of Zee TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.'
