Entries invited for 'Yog Geet/Yoga Song' contest for II international Yoga Day

NEW DELHI: The central government has launched a contest for a ‘Yog Geet/Yoga Song’ in Hindi to mark International Yoga Day in June.

The song can come from an individual, group or organisation with a maximum of two entries (Yog Geet/Yoga Song) of three to five minutes duration with a 5 MB space audio clip.

The AYUSH Ministry is celebrating International Yoga Day since last year to promote awareness of Yoga at national and international levels.

The International Day of Yoga celebration draws a huge public response across the globe. The ministry has also decided to organise a second International Day of Yoga during 2016.

In this regard it has been decided to conduct an open contest for selection of a song. The best entry would be rewarded a total prize of Rs. 5.00 Lakh.

The last date of submission of entry for Yog Geet/Yoga Song has been extended from 31 March to 10 April 2016.

The contestants can send their entries by 5 pm on 10 April through inf-moayush@gov.in
