Akshay Kumar loves my songs: Ankit Tiwari

MUMBAI:Famous people are bound to be surrounded by controversies and one celeb who has been grabbing eyeballs for not-so-good reasons is singer-composer Ankit Tiwari.

The singer who recently sang 'Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi' for Akshay Kumar's 'Airlift' is said to have lost out on 'Rustom' songs due to Akshay himself.

Media reports recently suggested that Akshay wasn't too happy with Tiwari's songs hence, they were chopped out of the film. In fact, the actor is also said to have recommended names of other artistes in place of Tiwari.

When contacted, Tiwari said, "I never met Akshay during my song selections. So, I don't know how to comment on the report. But, it's true that I have two songs in 'Rustom' and as far as I know, Akshay loves them. He recently even danced on one of my songs at the Zee Cine Awards."

The singer is also said to be singing with Shraddha Kapoor - they sang together for 'Galliyan' last - in 'Baaghi.' When asked about it, the singer said, "I have a song in 'Baaghi' but it's not with Shraddha. I am not sure if something would come up in the future but for now, it's just me singing the song."

Tiwari has one song each in 'Rocky Handsome' and 'Baaghi.' However, having just a song in a film does not make him feel any less important. The singer says the film still stays his as a singer and that he gives the songs his 100 per cent.

The 'Sunn Raha Hai' singer is also the brand ambassador of Colors' Box Cricket League team Lucknow Nawabs.
