Sony Music and Anirudh Ravichander gift Major Lazer an elephant

MUMBAI: Major Lazer's recent visit to India fetched them a special gift. Wondering what the gift was? Well, it was an elephant. The gift came from Sony Music president Shridhar Subramanium and ‘Kolaveri Di’ fame music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

The gift from Sony and Ravichander did come as a welcome surprise to the electronic music group who wanted to feature an elephant in ‘Lean On’.

Back in December 2014, the group had shot ‘Lean On’ in India. The shoot wasn't an easy one as they had to complete it in a day.  However, their efficient team managed to put everything together in time. The only thing that they failed to deliver was an elephant as the big guy slept just before the final shoot.

But, in spite of a missing elephant, the music video went on to be a hit and to celebrate the same Sony gifted Major Lazer a fake life size elephant.

The group performed at the Mad Decent Block Party, produced by Sunburn and Oji, at Gurgaon on 20 February.
