Bollywood's latest dance anthem 'Kar Gayi Chull' trends on social media

MUMBAI: Twenty-four hours since the release of the Kapoor and Sons's first single off the soundtrack, the party song 'Kar Gayi Chull' has already crossed half a million views on YouTube. Released by Sony Music India, the song has gained massive traction on social media with over 8k 'likes' on the YouTube link and fans of Badshah, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, are not stopping at that.

Fans took to Twitter and created the hashtag - #1MKarGayiChull- in an effort to increase the views of the video to one million. With an impressive response to the video, it is evident the views will reach one million sooner or later. But it seems the fans cannot wait for the 'party anthem' to cross the milestone at the earliest.

Recreated by Amaal Mallik, and sung by rapper Badshah, Fazilpuria, Sukriti Kakar and Neha Kakkar, the release of the song enhances the build-up to the movie and the timing could not be any better. The lack of quality party songs in 2015 had the industry and fans concerned about the popularity of the genre. Badshah appears to have ensured the foot-tapping, groovy hip-shaking return of the genre to the dance floors in 2016. With a proper amalgamation of 'desi' rhythm and hip-hop at its core, the refreshing sound has already had fans sing its praises and the chemistry between Alia and Sidharth explains the popularity of the video on YouTube.

Dharma Productions continue to create trends with the music, and their latest product - 'Kapoor and Sons' - only manages to raise the bar for other productions to follow.
