Singer Rita Kaul wins Inspiration Award for Women

New Delhi: Singer Rita Kaul was one of the recipients of the Inspiration Awards for Women celebrating the achievements of remarkable women who inspire those around them.

The award was presented in Mumbai at the annual IWOI-Inspiring Women Of India Awards Ceremony organised by AS Creative Photography & Arts director Angad Singh Arora. The event coincided with National Girl Child Day.

The awards were given away by the founder president of National Human Rights Organization Naved Shaikh and former state minority commission vice chairperson Janet D'souza.

The award-winners included Guru Nanak Mission International Trust public relations officer Sushil Kaur. The event was hosted by actor/producer Mikhil Chandiramani.

Arora said, "I'm open to new ideas and always looking for opportunities to explore how we can do things differently or better. We created the Inspiring Women Of India Awards and it has become an incredibly powerful and exciting venture. Young women are shaping the future of India with immense energy dedication and flair. These awards recognise the sparkling younger generation of talent in India today."

The evening was a gala affair where Indo-Brazilian singer Carlyta Mouhini added to the flavour of speeches with songs,and the students of Rita Kaul Music Institution were seen performing to traditional music. The show included a laughter-filled performance by comedian Raja Sagoo. Young actress Sudeepa Singh shared her experience of being part of this initiative.
