Guitarist Kapil Srivastava to assist in women empowerment through skill development

New Delhi: Renowned Indian guitarist, music author, composer, and trainer Kapil Srivastava has been nominated as the chairman of National Committee (Arts & Culture) for Social Action Foundation, a leading government associate for Skill, Health & Empowerment.

Kapil said: “It’s a matter of both pride and responsibility at the same time to lead on this department. With one another feather in cap, I am leading on new initiatives on women skill development in diversified arts domains, innovating new infrastructure models, economic platforms and partnership initiatives.”

Srivastava said that there are plans to bring out new empowerment platforms in 2016 for women in particular, wherein thousands of skill development program students from diversified streams can have income opportunities locally.

The multi-talented artist is regarded as the "Guitarmonk of India," Kapil is the brain behind Guitarmonk's success as the first formal guitar education institute that tailored a curriculum catering to the needs of music learners and players, not only in India but across the globe.
