MUMBAI: As the calendar year 2015 approaches to a close we look back at the most viewed film and non-film Indian tracks and the Most Viewed International tracks in the country.

5 Most Viewed Indian tracks

1. 'Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi' - Honey Singh

Originally featured in the 1990's classic 'Aashiqui', the song was recreated and sung by Honey Singh. Directed by Ahmed Khan and released exclusively on T-Series, the song features Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor. With 442,783 likes and 90,926,415 views, the track is the most popular in the country, according to YouTube's database.

2. 'DJ Wale Babu' - Badshah feat. Aastha Gill

The voice behind hits like 'Abhi Toh party Shuru Hui Hai' and 'Selfie Le Le Re', rapper Badshah (or Pratik Sisodia) released the single 'DJ Wale Babu' in July. The track considered as 'Party Anthem of the Year', was directed by Gifty and includes Aastha Gill on the female vocals. The video amassed 134,571 likes and 39,919,544 views, thus making it the second most popular video in India.

3. 'Gulaabo' - Amit Trivedi/Vishal Dadlani/Anusha Mani (Movie: Shaandar)

From the movie 'Shaandar' comes the track 'Gulaabo' that features Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt dancing to Amit Trivedi's music. Sung by Vishal Dadlani and Anusha Mani, the video was released on September 10, and has garnered 14,963,603 views so far with 30,618 likes.

4. 'Wakhra Swag' - Navv Inder feat. Badshah

Punjabi singer Navv Inder released a song titled 'Wakhra Swag' exclusively on Times Music. The track, featuring rapper Badshah, gained a lot of popularity since its release on September 7. The video has over 10,735,279 views and 49,611 likes.

5. 'Time Table 2' - Kulwinder Billa

With 2,805,432 views and 14,921 likes, Kulwinder Billa's 'Time Table 2' is the fifth most popular video on YouTube in India. Composed by Laddi Gill and directed by Frame Singh, the track was released in November and has managed over 2 million views so far.

5 Most Viewed International tracks

1. 'Hello' - Adele

No surprises here, as British singer Adele's record-breaking single 'Hello' tops the list for most viewed international artist among the Indian YouTubers. The video has 704,897,237 views and 6,458,565 likes, however, still remains the second most (overall) popular track in the country, after Honey Singh's 'Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi'. Released on November 25, the track off the album '25', did a commendable job to become the most viewed international track in less than a month.

2. 'Daddy' - PSY

Composer PSY of the 'Gangnam style' fame returned to breaking the charts and records with his latest single, titled 'Daddy'. Featuring CL of 2NE1, the South Korean sensation released the video on his official channel on November 30 and has drawn above 56,074,019 views and over 832,000 views. The musician is known for releasing a track every year, and after three hits in three consecutive years, PSY returned to familiar fame with his latest track- 'Daddy'.

3. 'Hotline Bling' - Drake

Drake's 2015 hit 'Hotline Bling' became an overnight internet sensation, thanks to the uniquely trend-setting viral dance moves. Around 45 days since its release on YouTube, the video has managed to receive 212,586,365 views and 1,540,891 likes. Although, the overall views and likes for the track are higher than PSY's 'Daddy', but 'Hotline Bling' was viewed more than PSY's single, in India, according to YouTube.

4. 'Sorry' - Justin Bieber

Ruling on the Official Charts may mean a little to the Indian Youtubers, as Canadian singer Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' did not find its place in the Top 3 of International videos viewed in India. Released around the same time as 'Hotline Bling', the video attracted 320,049,738 views and 2.362,458 likes. However, with second best figures in the chart, the YouTube views from Indian netizens limits the track to the fourth place.

5. 'Wildest Dreams' - Taylor Swift

Released in August, 'Wildest Dreams' became the most popular Taylor Swift video in India. The video manage to attract 279,389,765 views, yet ended up the fifth most popular international video in the country and 17th most popular counting overall tracks.
