Avicii pays tribute to Dick Fosbury in official video for 'Broken Arrows'

MUMBAI: Avicii has released an official video for his new single ‘Broken Dreams’, which narrates the story of legendary US high-jumper Dick Fosbury. The concept and story for the video was done by At Night Studios.

The video is inspired by a true story ‘Broken Arrows’ and is the fifth single to be taken from the Universal Music artist’s new album ‘Stories’. Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) has also produced the video.

The video is centered on the story of aspiring US high-jumper Dick Fosbury and his daughter. Fosbury had won gold for the USA in the high-jump at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. It was the first time such unique technique was used which is also known as the ‘Fosbury Flop’ today. He revolutionised the high-jump and the music video depicts the astounding success with visuals and taps of sportsmanship.

‘Stories’ features a total of 14 original tracks, which Avicii has worked on for two years. The album is a follow up to the ‘Wake Me Up’ hitmaker’s 2013’s debut studio album ‘True’.

For ‘Stories’, Bergling has collaborated with some of music’s most distinctive singer-songwriters including Alex Ebert, Matisyahu, Wyclef Jean, Zak Abel, Gavin DeGraw, Zac Brown and others.
