Metallica and Armada release Signature 2015-16 Ski and Outerwear Line

MUMBAI: Metallica’s James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich Hetfield and Rob Trujillo have taken their love for skiing a notch higher, partnering with Armada for the Signature 2015-16 Ski and Outerwear Line. Together, the ‘Nothing Else Matters’ hitmakers, and the ski and outwear manufacturer will launch the ‘Armada x Metallica’ collection.

The special collaboration ‘Armada x Metallica’ will include two ski models- the Invictus 95Ti all-mountain ski, and the JJ 2.0 powder ski, along with a special issue of Armada's Hans Windbreaker Jacket, and Decker Gloves. Each of the items in the collection will feature graphics adapted from the cover art of Metallica's iconic 1986 album- Master of Puppets.

“Getting into the mountains has always been important to us. Armada is the most creative company in the ski industry, making them the perfect fit for this collaboration," said Ulrich

"If you told me when I was 12, listening to ‘Kill 'Em All’ at the skate ramp in the woods in Virginia, that we'd be working with Metallica someday, I would have told you to get lost. It is insane to be able to introduce new people to Armada through the machine that is Metallica. They're the biggest rock band in the world." said Armada, co-founder Chris O'Connell.

The Armada x Metallica line is currently available at select ski retail shops and online in limited quantities.
