DJ BL3ND would like to work with System of a Down

The scary mask and that tongue gesture is a perfect depiction of DJ BL3ND’s craziness, which is also reflected in his music. The electronic artist has been able to garner a stunning 360 million YouTube views, 1 million YouTube subscribers, and more than 4 million Facebook followers, in a rather short span of time. Since being among the top 100 DJs in 2013, the LA-based DJ has steadily been moving ahead in rankings.

He is expanding his base internationally by performing at various events held across the globe. DJ BL3ND is also associated with the latest edition of MTV Bloc Party, held in India. In an interview with Radioandmusic.com, he spoke about his new upcoming projects.

Why do we see you donning the mask during your public appearance? Who inspired you to have this mask?

The mask turns me into a crazy person. It gives me energy and craziness when I perform. A couple of artists inspired me to put on a mask such as Daft Punk, Deadmau5, and the Bloody Beetroots.

What has changed for you over years of struggle to being the brand name you are?

Each year that passes helps me evolve as an artist. I like to always deliver something new and fresh to my fans.

Are you working on an album/ compilation/ remix?

I have a lot of music that I will be releasing as singles throughout the year and years to come. I also have planned at some point to put out an album or EP.

Which DJ/ musician/ producer you would like to work with?

I would like to work with the singers from System of a Down- Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian. I really enjoy their music a whole lot.

Which event in your life is the most memorable in your career?

The most memorable events of my career are those where the crowd got the craziest. I live for the energy and excitement of the crowd.

Will Loko Sound sign any artistes? What is your plan with your label?

Yes, I will be signing artists to Loko Sound starting this year. I plan to have the right exposure for the music I sign.

Which places would you like to tour?

I have played many places around the world I never expected to play. I would like to continue playing more new countries in the future. It is always exciting playing somewhere new for the first time.
