Huawei HonorT1 launches in India

MUMBAI: Huawei, the Chinese telecommunications equipment company, recently launched their new device Huawei HonorT1 tablet in India. The device was previously launched in Malaysia and Singapore earlier in September.

The tablet is designed with an aluminium uni-body and sports an 8-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and 188 pixels per inch (ppi) density. It runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8212) processor along with 1GB of RAM, and has 8GB internal storage which is further expandable to 32GB via microSD card. The tab operates on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 1.6 skinned on top.

The main camera on the tablet is 5-megapixel without flash and there is also a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for video calls. Connectivity options offered by the Huawei Honor T1 include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS and 3G, apart from voice calling.

Huawei Honor T1 measures 210.6x127.7x7.9mm and weighs 360 grams. The 4800mAh battery on the tablet is rated to deliver up to 300 hours of standby time.

Although the device will be available in Europe by the end of December, the Huawei Honor T1 is already available in India for Rs. 9,999 on Flipkart.
