Flipkart leaked new Lava Iris X8

MUMBAI: Popular e-commerce portal Flipkart, accidentally listed the yet-to-be announced Lava Iris X8 for on its website. Soon after, tech blogs all over have been leaking its specifications. The device has since been taken off the Flipkart website.

The display of the smartphone has a 5.0-inch HD (720x1280p) IPS screen with Asahi Dragontrail glass shield. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable up to v5.0 Lollipop) operating system with a 1.4GHz MediaTek Octa-core CPU (Chipset: MT6592M) processor. The device comes with 2GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage capacity of 16 GB, expandable to up to 32 GB via microSD card.

The device also features an 8.0 MP main camera with Dual-LED flash, BSI-3 sensor, auto-focus, zoom, full HD video recording and a 3.0 MP front camera. It boasts a 2500 mAh (Li-Polymer) battery claiming talk time of up to 14 hours for 2G and 9 hours for 3G. With Dual-SIM slots, the device has connectivity features that include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), in-built gesture technology and FOTA (Firmware-Over-The-Air) upgradable feature. It weighs 160g with dimensions 143.4 x 70.9 x 8.6 mm.

When made accidently available on Flipkart, the smartphone was priced at Rs. 8,999.
