Six songs to celebrate the spirit of World Cup 2019

MUMBAI: Cricket is considered to be a religion in India and the World Cup is the pilgrimage that appears once every four years. We take leaves, sneak out to check scores and discussing matches in our drawing rooms is a routine. We are blessed with best eleven players in the world and supporting them in defeat and victory.  Music can bring adrenaline rush and enhance this experience of supporting our national team. Below are six songs that can be your playlist before or after a game!

Chale Chalo-Lagaan: Lagaan is a movie about cricket and the human spirit involved while playing the game. Chale Chalo is almost an anthem for motivation. Hear this Rahman song before the big game on 16 June Ind Vs Pakistan.

Aashaiyen-Iqbal: This song is in the movie that showcases sheer grit of a passionate cricketer. Aashaiyen is a feel good song and conveys the message of hope. One beautiful track sung by KK and composed by Salim Sulaiman. The lyrics of the same are written by Irfan Siddique.

Chak De-Chak De: Yes, Chak De is a movie about hockey but this song can give life to a stone too! We need this positive energy before an important game.

Dangal-Dangal: Dangal is a movie about the determination required to be a sportsman and the entire process of becoming one. The title track can make one's blood rush and prepare you for the game.

Besabariyan-M S Dhoni-The Untold Story: The song is from the biopic of one of the most successful captain of India, under whom our nation won the second world cup. This song has all the feels to make us get up and play cricket for our country. However, since that is not possible, let's hear this song and cheer for the winning India team.

Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar-Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar: Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar is a song celebrates victory. Hoping this song is on repeat mode for us and we get a chance to play it on full volume on the final match.
