Bollywood singers we would love to see on screen

MUMBAI: We don't see them very often because they are the musical voice of our Bollywood stars. They are the ones giving blockbuster songs but are rarely seen on screen. Many of these singers deserve to be in front of the camera and not behind.

You will surely agree, with Radioandmusic.com when you look at our list.

Badshah: The rap king of Bollywood Badshah does not need an introduction. The ‘Kala Chashma’ hitmaker is now highlighting ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ as a jury member. We have discovered the funny side of Badshah on the show and we feel he should take this to the big screen. In fact, one will get to watch him act in the upcoming episodes of Star Plus’ popular show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.

Jonita Gandhi: This Indo-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi was first noticed on YouTube. It was the cover of a Hindi film song that got her immense popularity on social media. She made her Bollywood playback debut with the title track of ‘Chennai Express’. In addition, did you know that her first performance was not a singing but a dance performance? Given the fact that Bollywood films demand a lot of singing and dancing, Gandhi just fits the bill. Not to forget that she has a pretty face with that pretty smile which will look perfect on the silver screen.

Arjun Kunango: The ‘Nikke Nikke Shots’ singer Arjun Kanungo is one handsome man. His song ‘Fursat’, which features him and Sonal Chauhan is enough to say that Arjun should try his luck in movies. We are sure that the ladies out there are waiting to see more of him.

Neeti Mohan: The Mohan sisters are beautiful and the audience is completely in love with them. But, the one we feel should take the center stage is gorgeous looking Neeti Mohan. The singer rose to fame after winning Channel V’s ‘Popstars’ and we did see a glimpse of her in Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia starrer ‘Socha Na Tha’.  But, we would like to see more of this talented singer’s acting skills.

Sanam Puri: He debuted as a playback singer with 'Dhaat Teri Ki’ from ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’. He is also the lead singer of the band, SQS Project. He has over a million subscribers on his YouTube page. Now, that kind of popularity needs to be streamlined into something big. How about a 70mm?

Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar: Twins Sukriti and Prakriti are known to set the stage ablaze with their voice and performance. We have not seen much of their acting skills, but we believe that these pretty girls can get it right. We think they should contemplate on making it to the big screen.

Raftaar: Born as Dilin Nair in Trivandrum Kerala, this talented rapper came into the spotlight when he split from Mafia Mundeer, formed by Yo Yo Honey Singh and was signed to Three Records by RDB. Recently waving news for ‘Dhaakad’ from the movie ‘Dangal’, we believe that Raftaar should try his luck in Bollywood and Kollywood.

Jubin Nautiyal: Jubin Nautiyal, who was awarded at 8th Mirchi Music Award for his song ‘Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata (reprise)’ from ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, has sung several hit songs for Hindi films. We think his tall, muscular physic and intense looks can make many hearts skip a beat. He has the ability to make the clock tick in his favour even in the acting field.

Armaan Malik: This 21-years-old handsome boy was first seen in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs’. 2010 marked his arrival in the playback scene and since there has been no look back. Just like his amazing voice, Armaan also has great appearances. Given his fan following especially females, we are sure he will have packed shows. In addition, his recent TV campaign for Ponds gave us a little glimpse of his acting and we definitely want more.
