Bollywood's remarkable actors went unnoticed as singers

MUMBAI: Nowadays it is a trend in Bollywood; our actors do not limit themselves to acting. The actors their hand at every skill possible, and playback singing is one of them. We have some notable actors who turned out to be great singers like Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and so on. On the other hand, there are few who were not able to grab the required attention to highlight their singing talent. Here are some who have not made the cut so far, or have declined after a few attempts from singing for films despite having a fair amount of singing talent

Aamir Khan

This song from the movie ‘Ghulam’ was a bang on hit. More than the voice, the song was credited with the appealing lyrics loved by everybody. Aamir Khan lent his voice for the song along with veteran singer Alka Yagnik. The actor has so far not tried singing in films again.

Sridevi

This iconic diva of Bollywood charmed audiences with her captivating acting skills. The Southern beauty gave singing a try with the super hit film Chandni in which she sang the title track with Jolly Mukherjee, the Indian playback singer.

Juhi Chawla

Not many people know about the actor with a pleasing smile made  her singing debut with the song in the film ‘Bhootnath’. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan also lent his voice for the same song along with Juhi.

Hrithik Roshan

When it comes to trying a hand at different kinds of skills, Hrithik Roshan is one name that comes to mind. The handsome hunk has sung a romantic number in the film Kites along with Suzzane D’Mello. Singing rose to another level for the actor when he gave another try with a song in the film, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.

Akshay Kumar

Masses would be surprised to know that Akshay Kumar has been blessed with a perfect voice for singing. The actor, who crooned for successful Bollywood hits, sang a song in his film ‘Special 26’. Apart from this song, Akki released a solo in 2006 with a song titled ‘Nirgun Raakh Liya’. The profit from the sales of the album was donated to the victims of Mumbai train bombings of 2006.

Apun Bola, Josh (2000)

Even the ‘Badshaah’ of Bollywood did not remain behind when it came to singing. King Khan sang ‘Apun Bola Tu Meri Laila’ in the 2000 film ‘Josh’ that became an instant hit among the youth.

Since then SRK continued experimenting with his singing skills. SRK lent his voice to the theme song of 2006 starrer film, ‘Don’ and also recited a poem in

‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.
